Nutrition and Lifestyle Counseling

 

 

Initial Consultation​ (1.5-2 hr)

For your intitial consultation, please bring a 5 day food journal (check out My Fitness Pal), as well as all of the new client forms. For the visit, you can expect the following:

 

Dietary analysis

Review of current health conditions and medical history

Thorough evaluation of current lifestyle

An introduction to foundational nutrition principles

Goal setting 

A customized wellness portfolio and meal plan will be provided at the following session.

 

Follow-Up Appointments​ (30-60 minutes)

Some follow-up appointments require more time than others. In the begining of the process, typically sessions are a bit longer. We will regularly assess progress and set new goals. I offer extensive counseling in the following areas:

 

 

  • Understanding food labels                                         

  • Shopping on a budget                                               

  • Uncovering food sensitivities                                   

  • Emotional barries

Having guidance at the grocery store can help relieve the intimidation one may feel when making new dietary choices. This enables you to feel more comfortable and confident as you shop. We talk about guidlines to follow, reading and understanding food labels, cost effectiveness, organic vs. conventional, and healthy and delicious food brands.  

 

 

Pantry Cleanout

 

 

Struggling to figure out what goes and what stays? No problem. I will guide you through this process, educate you on the pros and cons of each item, and provide you with a list of healthy alternatives. Sometimes this can be an emotional process. I am here to support you and your family every step of the way.
